Ačkups Folk Dance Ensemble

The name of the Rīga Stradiņš (RSU) student folk dance ensemble Ačkups comes from an old Latvian dance. The group was founded in 1951, and already in 1975 it was awarded the status of National Dance Group.

Members of Ačkups include promising doctors, dentists, and other RSU students, as well as graduates and students from other universities. The rehearsals are extremely spirited and lively, since all members enjoy rehearsing and performing traditional Latvian folk dances. Should you choose to apply, you will make new friends not only from Latvia, but from other countries as well.
