Become a mentor for first semester international students in 2024!
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department invites students to become mentors for first semester international students who will be starting their studies in September 2024. Applications open until 28 May.
The aim of the mentor programme is to help international students integrate into the University and society, and to support new students as they begin their studies at RSU. Mentoring offers a great opportunity for students to build contacts and make friends with people from different countries, learn about other cultures, and broaden their horizons. Each mentor will be paired with another mentor and will work in a team with about 2 to 5 incoming international students.
A mentor is an advisor who provides newly-enrolled international students with insight into university life, can explain the study process and academic requirements, and offer practical advice on everyday matters. Mentors encourage new students, help them settle into their new home, and overcome any fears or concerns.
