Higher education export discussed at the Embassy of Latvia in Stockholm
On 15 April in Stockholm, the Embassy of Latvia in Sweden, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, hosted a meeting with the participation of representatives from various Latvian institutions of higher education. The aim of the meeting was to foster Latvian higher education export, and during the meeting the representatives from various institutions of higher education introduced the ambassadors and the staff of various embassies with study opportunities in Latvia.
According to Latvia's ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden Gints Jegermanis, such meetings provide a great opportunity for the staff of accredited non-resident embassies to get introduced to study opportunities of Latvian institutions of higher education for international students and serve as a platform for the establishing of professional contacts.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) was represented by the Director of the International Department Baiba Pētersone. Ms Petersone gave a presentation on study programmes with English as a language of instruction and RSU’s achievements in attracting and educating international students.
