A unique opportunity has been announced for all winter sports enthusiasts and volunteers to join Team26 and contribute to the organisation of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2026, informs the International Olympic Committee. The organisers are planning to recruit 18,000 volunteers to ensure that Olympic games in Italy are successful.

The Olympic Winter Games 2026 will be held in Milano and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 22 February, while the Paralympic Winter Games will be held from 6 to 15 March.

The organisers are looking to recruit a wide range of professionals, including interpreters, medical professionals, communication specialists, receptionists, drivers and journalists, as well as general hospitality staff and students to assist Olympic delegations and spectators at venues, Olympic villages, media centres and airports to gain a unique behind-the-scenes experience of the Winter Olympic Games.

Who can become a volunteer?

  • You have to be at least 18 years old by 1 November 2025.
  • You have to be able to speak either Italian or English.
  • You can attend the selection events online and complete a volunteer programme.
  • You are available for at least 9 days during either the Olympic or Paralympic Winter Games.
  • You can cover your own travel and accommodation expenses.

Volunteers will get exclusive Olympic uniforms for their daily work and ceremonial events.
