RSU and Foreign Investors Council in Latvia agree on cooperation on higher education development

On 17 April, the management of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) met with the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia (FICIL) and agreed on mutual cooperation for the development of higher education. 

FICIL was impressed by the rich and positive experience of RSU in education export and representatives of the parties discussed the necessity of reforms in higher education. 

“We came up with a number of suggestions. By joining efforts we can make fundamental changes happen for the more rapid modernisation of the study and research environment in Latvia,” RSU rector Professor Aigars Pētersons confirmed RSU openness for cooperation and its readiness to give advice.  

The Foreign Investors Council in Latvia invited RSU to active cooperation in implementing reforms and is looking forward to the introduction of RSU good practice throughout the education sector.
