Sustainable Development Goals
For Students
For RSU Employees

To promote understanding of sustainability issues and define clear goals for advancing sustainable development at all levels of the university’s operations, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has established a working group to prepare a sustainability document. The working group was formed on 27 November 2024, with the aim of strategically planning and implementing sustainability initiatives at the university.

This year, RSU plans to conduct a double materiality analysis, which will help identify key sustainability priorities, assess risks and opportunities, and develop a targeted strategy for sustainable development.

The working group includes representatives from the Administration Office, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Development and Project Department, the Centre for Educational Growth, the Infrastructure Department, the Research Department, the Human Resources Department, the Legal and Procurement Department, the Institute of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health, the Student Union, and the Communications Department.

The main tasks of the working group are to develop the technical specifications for procuring the RSU sustainability document, contribute to developing the contents of the document, evaluate the university’s existing sustainability-related information, and provide recommendations for improvement.
