RSU honours its best medical students
On Wednesday, 8 November, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Medicine honoured its best students for their outstanding academic performance in the 2022/2023 academic year. This event took place in the Great Hall and was held for the second consecutive year.
55 local and international students were honoured at the event. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Jana Pavāre, Vice-Dean for International Students Smuidra Žermanos, Professor of the Department of Morphology Dzintra Kažoka, and the Head of the Department of Biology and Microbiology Prof. Juta Kroiča addressed students at the ceremony.
Medical students Silva Bumbule and Lilly Aurora Haydon entertained the students and their guests with musical performances. The diligent students were also congratulated by their families and friends. In gratitude for their outstanding academic performance, the students received special certificates of recognition and symbolic gifts.

The RSU Faculty of Medicine is the largest faculty at RSU and is becoming increasingly popular among international students due to its competitive education and tuition fees in Europe. It offers a full professional education programme that enables graduates to continue their education in their chosen residency programme or master’s study programme in Latvia or any other European Union member state.
