RSU Represents Latvia at European Sexual Medicine Network Symposium

Professor Gunta Lazdāne and Dr Ieva Briedīte from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology represent Latvia in the European Sexual Medicine Network (ESMN), which is an Action of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). They have done so since 2019 and 2021 respectively.

Prof. Lazdāne and Dr Briedīte presented at the Sexuality in Europe symposium that took place in Salzburg on 21-23 October 2021. It was the first in-person ESMN event to take place during the COVID-19 pandemic and gathered representatives from many other countries participating in ESMN. To ensure broad coverage, participants could attend the symposium online, which resulted in many representatives from global and European professional sexual health organisations, including from South Africa, being able to attend virtually.
