RSU management visits prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital
On 2 and 3 April 2024, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, Vice-Rector for Administration and Development Toms Baumanis, Latvian Minister for Health Hosams Abu Meri, Chairman of the Board at Riga East Clinical University Hospital Normunds Staņēvičs, and Board Member Haralds Plaudis will visit the Johns Hopkins Hospital during their visit to the US. The Johns Hopkins Hospital is one of the largest medical institutions in the world and one of the top hospitals in the US, acclaimed for its medical care, research, and innovations.
The visit will include a meeting with the President of the Hospital Assoc. Prof. Redonda Miller, CEO, Prof. Theodore DeWeese, and other representatives of the hospital's administration, as well as department heads and specialists in quality management and patient safety matters. Meetings are also scheduled with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and its programme directors.
During the visit, the participants will also address issues related to the management of the hospital, digitisation and innovation, patient safety, healthcare quality, etc.
