This initiative, supported by the Nippon Foundation and the Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research, aims to promote a deeper understanding of Japan worldwide by donating high-quality books about Japan in English.

Since 2008, the Read Japan Project has been donating English books to libraries and research institutions globally. These books cover various topics, including politics, international relations, economics, business, society, culture, literature, art, and history. The project’s goal is to provide readers worldwide with an accurate understanding of Japan by offering outstanding books. While primarily intended for researchers interested in Japan, the project also benefits opinion leaders and intellectuals specializing in other fields beyond Japanese studies.

RSU Library appreciates the opportunity to receive this valuable book collection from the Read Japan Project. This collaboration not only enriches the library’s offerings but also supports its mission to provide users, including students and faculty, with diverse, high-quality academic resources.

The RSU Library extends its gratitude to the Embassy of Japan for their cooperation and support within the framework of this project.
