RSU honours the most outstanding students of the Faculty of Medicine
For the third year in a row, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Medicine congratulated its most outstanding students who have proved themselves with excellent achievements in the academic year 2023/2024 in the Great Hall 0n 6 November.

54 local and international students were honoured at the event. They were praised and inspired by a speech by Assoc. Prof. Andris Skride, Vice-Rector for Health Studies, Prof. Jana Pavāre, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Smuidra Žermanos, Vice-Dean for International Students, and Assoc. Prof. Ingus Skadiņš, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Additional speeches were given by Asst. Prof. Kārlis Rācenis, Vice-Dean of Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, as well as Assoc. Prof. Rudīte Koka, Department of Biology and Microbiology, and Paula Jumīte, Executive Director of the University’s Alumni Association.
Anna Niedra, a student at the Faculty of Medicine, entertained the students and their guests with a musical performance.
Each student received a special Letter of Commendation for their outstanding study performance, as well as gifts and flowers from their family and friends.

The RSU Faculty of Medicine is the largest faculty at RSU and becoming increasingly popular among international students in Europe due to its competitive education and tuition fees. It offers a full professional education programme so that graduates can successfully continue their education in residency programmes or master's programmes in medicine in Latvia or any other EU member state in their chosen specialty.
