Exciting start to the semester: RSU ISA Freshers’ Week 2025

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is set to welcome its new cohort of international students with an engaging and activity-filled Orientation Week from 28 January to 1 February 2025. Organised by RSU’s International Department, this annual tradition aims to help students settle into their new environment, forge connections, and explore the vibrant city of Riga. 

Alongside official university activities, the RSU International Student Association (ISA) will host several events during Freshers’ Week that blend fun, teamwork, and a taste of local culture.

Strike up some fun: Bowling Night

Freshers’ Week kicks off on Monday, 28 January, with a Bowling Night at the Pepsi Centre. From 18:00 to 20:00, students can enjoy a friendly competition and get to know their peers. Participation costs €5 (online payment only).

Challenge yourself: Scavenger Hunt

On Wednesday, 30 January, the RSU Main Building will transform into the base for an exciting Scavenger Hunt. Starting at 17:00 and lasting until 19:00, participants will work in teams to solve clues and complete challenges. This is a great opportunity to bond with fellow students while exploring the campus in a fun and interactive way.

Explore Riga’s nightlife: Riga Night Out (18+)

Thursday, 31 January, brings the popular Riga Night Out. Starting at 18:30 from the iconic Laima Clock, this event promises an evening of camaraderie and adventure as students dive into Riga's vibrant nightlife. The cost is €16 (cash only), which includes a drink at each venue.

End on a high: Laser Tag

The week concludes on Friday, 1 February, with an adrenaline-pumping Laser Tag session at Laserdog. The event begins at 18:00 and runs into the evening. Participation costs €10 (online payment only), offering students the chance to test their tactical skills in a thrilling environment.
