Hussaina Musaji

Hello,

My name is Hussaina Musaji, I'm a 12th semester medical student here at RSU. I'm originally from Sweden but I have roots in India and Uganda. The reason I chose to study at RSU was because I knew for a fact that I wanted to study in an international community, as I love learning about new cultures and languages. On top of that, I also wanted to study in English as it is a global language that can aid in future job endeavors anywhere in the world. RSU was the best choice for me because of the close proximity to my home country along with the fact that we, international students, were in the same boat trying to navigate the new country and studies. That's why I chose to become an Ambassador, to help newly enrolled and future students feel like RSU can and will become their second home away from home.

Hussaina Musaji started her studies at RSU in September 2018 and is currently in her 4th year of medical studies at RSU.

Hussaina’s outspoken and responsible attitude has made her a great addition to International Student Association (ISA). She has been international Relation Officer at ISA since 2021 and currently oversees association’s social media accounts in order to inform all international students about current events and activities, as well as other important information regarding studies at RSU.

Hussaina has showcased her creative approach as early as during her application process for studies at RSU. She ran a blog sharing information about the admissions process, her visit to Riga and about all things RSU in general. This has helped multiple students during their preparation for studies at RSU. 

Since Hussaina is directly involved in ISA activities, she has been a great addition to RSU Open Days. Hussaina is able to inform prospective students not only about studies at RSU, but also about different possibilities that joining ISA and other student associations can provide. During several of the Open Days Hussaina was even able to demonstrate her practical learning kit to prove that practical classes in the field of medicine can be carried out even during a global pandemic!
