RSU Annual Awards Presented at Academic Ball
Rīga Stradiņš University has a tradition of celebrating achievements and outstanding performance by expressing gratitude to the best students and staff members who have significantly contributed to research, academic affairs or to the popularisation of RSU. This Saturday 24 March, at the traditional Academic Ball held on the premises of the Latvian Society House, RSU presented its Annual Recognition Awards in eight categories.
The annual award in the nomination Student of the Year was presented to 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine Rihards Pēteris Ročāns.
The annual award in the nomination International Student of the Year went to 5th year medical student of the Faculty of Medicine Johannes Georg Steibl.
The annual award in the nomination Master’s Student of the Year was presented to 2nd year student of the European Study Faculty, Master’s Study Programme Regional Politics and Public Administration Austris Keišs.
The annual award in the nomination Doctoral Student of the Year was awarded to 3rd year student of the Doctoral Study Programme Medicine Davide Borroni.
The annual award in the nomination Resident of the Year went to 4th year medical resident of the Faculty of Continuing Education, study programme Residency in Medicine Olga Zemļanuhina.
The annual award in the nomination Researcher of the Year was presented to Professor Oskars Kalējs from the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Diseases.
The annual award in the nomination Lecturer of the Year which represents the choice of the students, this year was presented to two academics: the lecturer at the Faculty of European Studies Kristīne Blumfelde-Rutka and Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Pathology Department - Ilze Štrumfa.
The annual award in the nomination Staff Employee of the Year was presented to Head of the Study Programme Administration Unit Matīss Sīlis.
