RSU tops university reputation rankings in Latvia for ninth consecutive year
For the ninth consecutive year, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has been recognised as the university with the best reputation in Latvia. The data shows that RSU has maintained its leading position in reputation assessments, both in society as a whole and among young people. RSU stands out among other higher education institutions for the quality of education, the practical knowledge and skills it provides, and the strong value placed on an RSU diploma in the labour market.
The University’s reputation for attractiveness and competence remains high, both among the general population and young people, with no significant changes. Compared to the average of all universities surveyed, RSU’s reputation was rated the highest this year. In the University Reputation Survey, RSU scored 74 index points, surpassing the overall university reputation score for Latvia, which stands at 60 index points for the under-60 age group.
The fact that Rīga Stradiņš University tops the university reputation rankings in Latvia for the ninth consecutive year is a testament to our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding education, advancing research, and fostering close collaboration with industry and society. This achievement reflects the hard work and collaboration of our students, as well as our academic and administrative staff. It enables RSU to continually grow and shape the future of higher education both in Latvia and internationally.
RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons
The reputation survey was conducted this winter, from 20 January to 10 February, by the research company Kantar, which interviewed more than 1,000 Latvian residents aged 15-60, with a target subgroup aged 15-26 (this is a representative sample of the general population in the given age group), via telephone interviews. Kantar has been monitoring the overall reputation of the higher education sector since 2017 using the internationally validated TRI*M Corporate Reputation methodology, owned by the Kantar Group. The survey is conducted in accordance with the ESOMAR International Code on Market, Opinion and Social Research and Data Analytics.
