The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department (ID) held their first Open Day webinar on Friday, 27 March. Around fifty prospective students from all over the world participated in the event. The webinar featured a presentation about RSU and study opportunities in English, as well as about life in Latvia and Riga.
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Department of Health Psychology and Paedagogy has launched a public psychological support project to introduce various ways in which to provide remote psychological support. This is particularly important at a time when the spread of the novel coronavirus is causing tension and anxiety in society.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is assisting the University of Tartu to ensure a comprehensive remote study process by providing access to the RSU Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology's digital collection of histological and embryological preparations.
The results of the HackForce hackathon were announced on Thursday, 19 March. The company Exonicus collaborated with the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education and Technology Centre (METC) and placed 3rd among 28 teams from all over the world.
Almost 200 healthcare students from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) have responded to a call for volunteers and have expressed their readiness to engage in activities to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Latvia. Among them are 171 international students.
Ilze Konrāde, an Associate Professor at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), is conducting a study together with a work group from RSU on human genetics and molecular medicine. This study will result in new mechanisms for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The research group has received a letter of appreciation from the President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences for this research.
