RSU Receives Funding to Develop Six New Study Programmes

Six new study programmes in English will be developed at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) by 2023. On 24 April 2019 RSU signed an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) about implementing the project ‘Reducing study programme fragmentation and promoting the internationalisation of studies at Rīga Stradiņš University’ (project No. 8.2.1.0/18/A/014).

Irina Mariotti

Irina Mariotti comes from Bolzano in northern Italy. She started studying at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in February 2016.

Had you been to Latvia before you came to RSU?

I came to visit a friend who was studying here about 6 years ago. I was traveling in Europe with my family and we stayed in Latvia for three days visiting the countryside and the Old Town. I really liked Riga, actually. This is why when I was admitted to RSU, I already knew where I was coming to.

RSU Alumni Dr. Cindy Heaster

Dr. Cindy Heaster studied Medicine at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) between 2003 and 2009. Although originally from Australia, she found her way to Riga via Vilnius, and has chosen to stay in Latvia with her husband and children who were born here. We met at the first International Students Alumni Reunion organised by the RSU International Student Association (ISA) on 16 November 2019 where Dr. Heaster was invited as a guest of honour to reminisce and share her experience.

2020 Senior Evening

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has been organising annual senior evenings in early January to thank both current and former long-term employees. Each of these employees has invested a lot of work to promote the development and growth of RSU. This year, RSU organised a concert programme Veltījums for its seniors with the participation of the composer Mārtiņš Brauns, the violin quartet Juno and vocal group Insomnia.
