Legal Unit
The aim of the Legal Unit is to provide legal advice to the management and structural units of the university in accordance with regulatory enactments in force in the Republic of Latvia, the University Constitution, and internal laws and regulations.
Main tasks
- To provide legal advice in the fields related to the operation of the university;
- To develop and evaluate draft documents (contracts, internal and external laws and regulations, claim statements, claims, letters, etc.) and provide a legal opinion;
- To provide legal advice for monitoring the performance of contracts.

Dagnija Zvidriņa Lawyer, Legal Unit | Provides legal support in the development process of the University's internal laws and regulations and in organising the study process. Provides support to the RSU Department of Doctoral Studies, faculties and the Academic Affairs Department in legal matters and drafting documents. |
Linda Neivalde Lawyer, Legal Unit | Provides legal advice to the RSU Research Department and the Information Technology Department. |
Inese Sniķere Lawyer, Legal Unit | Provides legal advice to the RSU Human Resources Department and the Academic Arbitration Court. |
Zanda Balode Lawyer, Legal Unit | Prepares claims for non-performance of contractual obligations and drafts legal documents in the process of recovery of receivables; provides legal advice in matters related to the rental of real estate or the confiscation of property. |
Iveta Miķelsone Lawyer, Legal Unit | Provides legal support in the development process of the University's internal laws and regulations and in organising the study process. Provides support to the RSU Department of Doctoral Studies, faculties and the Academic Affairs Department in legal matters and drafting documents. |
