Congratulating the Most Outstanding International Medical Students

At the end of November, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Medicine honoured the most outstanding international students. These students have proven themselves both through their achievements as well as with their particularly selfless contribution to the development of the faculty. A total of 27 students were honoured at the event.

The Faculty of Medicine is the largest faculty at RSU, and it honoured its most outstanding local students at the beginning of November. The event for international students in their 2nd to 6th year was held on 30 November for the first time and is to become a new tradition. The students were congratulated by representatives from the council of the Faculty of Medicine and the Dean's Office and received special Certificates of Recognition and symbolic gifts in appreciation for their outstanding academic performance.

Lilly Aurora Haydon, a 2nd year international medical student, entertained the participants with a musical performance.

The RSU Faculty of Medicine is becoming increasingly popular among international students, as it offers a competitive education and tuition fees. The faculty provides a full professional education programme so that graduates can successfully continue their studies in residency programmes in their chosen speciality or master's programmes in the field of medicine in Latvia or in another European Union country.
