Great interest in the educational event Anatomy Nights at the RSU Anatomy Museum
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Anatomy Museum hosted the educational event Anatomy Nights on Valentine's Day this year. The event created an intimate atmosphere where visitors could learn about one of the most mysterious and symbolic human organs – the heart.
The event, which is being organised in Latvia for the fourth time, offered a unique opportunity not only to learn about the structure and function of the heart but also to witness a live demonstration of an animal heart dissection. The aim of the event was to introduce anatomy to a wider audience, creating an understanding of the significance and functionality of this organ.
This year, psychiatrist Marika Garnizone was invited to participate, and focused on both the anatomical and emotional aspects of the heart.
The event attracted great public interest and tickets were sold out within two days!
Anatomy Nights is an international initiative that promotes public understanding of anatomy and medicine through educational and exciting events. The RSU Anatomy Museum is proud to continue this tradition in Latvia, offering everyone the opportunity to explore the miraculous structure of the human body up close.
