International project dedicated to developing ecological thinking launched at RSU
On Tuesday, 4 June, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted a visit to launch the Erasmus+ cooperation partnership project GreenTouch: EcoMind Development for Higher Education Future.
Lecturers from the Department of Health Psychology and Paedagogy, together with representatives from the University of Maribor (Slovenia), the Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), and the organisation FOREHUB LDA (Portugal), discussed the collaboration that has been initiated in the project's research and educational activities. The guests also visited the RSU History Museum, the Anatomy Museum, and the Anatomical Theatre.
The project aims to build digital and green capabilities by developing innovative solutions based on ecological thinking (EcoMind) to address mental well-being of students and academic staff. Throughout the project, a digital self-help tool for mental well-being and a study course on ecological thinking practices will be developed and tested. Interested parties—students and academic staff—are invited to participate in a survey in English to explore mental well-being and connection with nature.
The next project activities are scheduled for August this year, when RSU will host a summer school.
