As we look forward to Christmas and think of ways to make the world a more peaceful and brighter place, let us not forget that there is still a bloody war going on right next door. It has taken away the parents of thousands of children in Ukraine, who will have a very different Christmas this year.
Let's create a Christmas miracle and help bring joy and gifts to Ukrainian children! We invite you to take part in the charity campaign by Tavi draugi and Eco Baltia and give Christmas presents to children in Ukrainian orphanages!
- Nearly 400 children have written down their wishes - please choose a child that you would like to give a gift to. When selecting a specific gift, please select "50 Ventspils iela" as the gift drop-off location. If you are unable to choose a child from the list, you can buy and bring us any gift that would make the children happy.
- Wrapped gifts with the child's name on them should be delivered to the RSU gift shop in the lobby at 16 Dzirciema iela, by Friday, 16 December until 16:00, or to Room 512 in Building D by Monday 19 December until 14:00.
- You can also donate money (more information here) so that the volunteers of the organisation Tavi draugi can provide gifts or to redirect the donated money to other causes in Ukraine.
May the joy of giving warm our hearts this Christmas!
