Latvian Military Police visit RSU LASE
On 13 November, representatives of the Latvian National Armed Forces Military Police visited the Rīga Stradiņs University (RSU) Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) as part of events during the week of Latvian Independence Day. During the visit, students and staff were provided with valuable information about military service in the National Armed Forces, including opportunities to study various military specialities and pursue military education. The Military Police also showcased their equipment and machinery, offering the participants a unique opportunity to view these assets firsthand.
A highlight of the event for the students was meeting LASE graduates Lance Corporal Linda Jakovele and First Lieutenant Matīss Gabdulļins, who shared their personal experiences and discussed the challenges and opportunities of serving in the Military Police. The participants also had the chance to meet Jack, a trained service dog, and explore a range of military equipment, including crowd control gear, diving equipment, and military transport.
This event provided RSU LASE students with a unique opportunity to gain insight into the daily life of the Military Police and explore career paths that combine physical and academic training with dedicated service to Latvia.
