Professor Sandra Kaija appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court
Law
Professor Sandra Kaija from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Law, was appointed to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia on 16 January 2020.
Professor Kaija holds a doctoral degree in law, in the sub-field of criminal law. She has over 15 years of academic experience at institutions of higher education. The Professor is additionally a leading researcher at the Baltic International Academy.
The LETA news agency reports that Professor Kaija expressed a willingness to contribute to the efficiency and quality of the court in her letter of motivation.
