RSU Academic Ball a Great Success
After a more than a three-year-long hiatus, the traditional Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) Academic Ball was held at the Riga Latvian Society House on Saturday, 10 September marking the ball's 20th anniversary. RSU staff, students, and university management came together to celebrate with invited guests, among them ministers, rectors and vice-rectors of other universities, and representatives of state and non-governmental organisations.
As the ball’s motto says, it was held ad honorem artes, scientia, veritas (in honour of art, science, truth). It wasn’t only the University’s achievements that were celebrated, but also the people and departments who have contributed to the University. The Annual Awards to honour the best students, staff, alumni, researchers, and university departments were presented at the ball, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.
