‘We are very pleased with the current and future cooperation in promoting and enabling pharmaceutical research. Grindeks is growing and expanding rapidly globally. Therefore, maintaining the pace of growth we have undertaken would require a forward-looking approach to investment and project development. We are strongly committed to delivering innovative pharmaceutical solutions around the world, and developing new products is a clear priority for Grindeks. RSU has long been a trusted partner in both attracting and developing young pharmaceutical talent and in creating innovative pharmaceutical products. Signing a new cooperation agreement takes this partnership to a new level,’ said Dr. Chem. Juris Hmeļņickis, Chairman of the Board at Grindeks.

Prof. Dace Bandere, Dean of RSU Faculty of Pharmacy, expressed her satisfaction with the forthcoming cooperation and its important role in the education of young pharmacy students and researchers.

We are very fortunate to have a strong pharmaceutical industry in Latvia, including large manufacturers such as Grindeks, which recognises and supports the need for mutual collaboration between drug manufacturers, university scientists, academic staff, and future pharmacists. Every young professional, every invention and product manufactured in Latvia is worth a lot. It is important to support each other and work together to strengthen the growth of Latvian pharmaceutics and invest in the prosperity of this country.

Prof. Dace Bandere

Strengthening the research and study capacity in industrial pharmacy is one of the most important directions of the University’s long-term development.
