The RSU Library Announces First Panel at Research Week 2021
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Library will be organising an online panel at Research Week 2021 for the first time. The panel, titled The Role of Academic Libraries in Research Support, will take place on Zoom.
The Role of Academic Libraries in Research Support panel will provide an insight into initiatives to support research and future perspectives of leading academic libraries, both in Latvia and internationally. Professionals from Latvia, Finland and the United Kingdom will focus on crucial topics, such as collaboration with researchers and academic staff, contribution to university rankings, open science etc.
Target audience: representatives from the academic environment, information and library specialists, researchers and interested parties from other fields who are at the beginning of their research activity and are looking for informative support.
The event will be opened by Dr. Agrita Kiopa, RSU Vice-Rector for Science, and Ināra Aploka, RSU Library Director. Representatives from leading academic libraries in Latvia and abroad will be participating in the online event: Inga Znotiņa and Zane Bondare, Chief Bibliographers at the RSU Library, Gita Rozenberga, Chief Librarian at the Library of the University of Latvia, Eilita Bērziņa, Head Librarian at the Fundamental Library of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies and Sarmīte Linde, Information Specialist at the Fundamental Library of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Tiina Heino, Information Specialist at the Helsinki University Library and Marshall Dozier, Academic Support Librarian. The participants will share their experience in research support library services.
