RSU – the most desirable employer in the public sector for the third consecutive year!

The winners of the TOP Employer survey – recognising the best and most desirable employers in Latvia – were honoured for the 14th time on 9 April, at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Pharmaceutical Education and Research Centre. RSU was named the most desirable employer in the public sector for the third year in a row, earning the highest ranking among public sector organisations in the TOP 50 list.

In his opening speech, RSU Rector Aigars Pētersons emphasised that people are at the heart of every successful development strategy. While organisations may set ambitious goals, these cannot be achieved without a strong, motivated, and united team. He particularly noted that RSU places the individual at the centre of its activities – not only as an employee, but also as a student, resident, doctoral candidate, and team member. All university processes are designed to ensure a meaningful and productive daily life for every member of the community.

Toms Baumanis, RSU Vice-Rector for Administration and Development, and Dace Jasmane, Director of the RSU Human Resources Department, accepted the award on behalf of the university. During the event, Jānis Laizāns, Head of the RSU IT Service Centre, gave a lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in the workplace. Following the official programme, guests were given a tour of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Centre and had the opportunity to refresh their first aid skills with specialists from the RSU Medical Education Technology Centre.

This year’s survey saw a record number of participants – more than 18,000 respondents – the highest in the history of such surveys in Latvia.
