RSU Provides Information About Latvia to Health System Response Monitor
A special Health System Response Monitor (HSRM) has been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to collect and organise the most up-to-date information on how various countries are responding to the crisis. It primarily focuses on the responses of health systems but also captures wider public health initiatives. This is a joint undertaking of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the European Commission, and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies.
HSRM provides the opportunity to select measures of the countries of interest in the following sections: infection control measures, provision of infrastructure and workforce, changes in health care services, their financing, system management and measures in other sectors.
The team of researchers that provides HSRM with information about Latvia includes Daiga Behmane who representis the Institute of Pubic Health at Rīga Stradiņš University and Jānis Misiņš, who represents the Latvian Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
