RSU to take part in Health Week
From 28 May to 2 June Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will participate in National Health Day, held as part of the NowWeMove campaign.
Throughout the week RSU health sport and nutrition specialists will offer free fitness classes for all levels – from total beginners to experienced athletes, there will be workshops on health sport and nutrition, Momyfit classes for new mums, Nordic Walking classes and lectures for older adults and a physical condition competition RSU is active (RSU sporto) where everyone will have the chance to test their walking, running and cycling skills, measure strength and endurance.
The National Health Day is an initiative is being held for the 7th year now as part of the NowWeMove campaign that aims to raise awareness of the benefits of healthy lifestyle and encourages people to participate in various sports and physical activities. The event is organised by the Latvian Sport for Everyone Association, in collaboration with the International Sport and Culture Association.
