After profound assessment of the submitted applications, the organizers of the contest have pre-selected the contestants of the sixth young researchers’ contest ResearchSlam – 24 participants from seven higher education establishments of Latvia, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) among them will compete for different prizes and demonstrate their skills at three competition rounds to be held in January and February 2018.
From September 29 – November 30 all master and doctoral level students of higher education establishments of Latvia and the respective level graduates could file applications for the contest ResearchSlam 2018. The challenge was accepted by 31 prospective researchers; out of which doctoral students with 22 applications have been the most active ones.
Evaluating the applications, the selection team considered several aspects: how passionate the young researchers are in describing their study, their ability to present it in a clear and comprehensive manner, the motivation to participate in the competition and the contestant’s presentation skills based on the submitted video.
Applications have been received from three RSU students and all of them have been pre-selected for future participation in the competition. The selection rounds will be held on 24 January, 31 January and 7 February and RSU will be represented by:
