Applications Open for International Student Mentorship Programme
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department invites students to become mentors for first semester international students who will be starting their studies in September 2023.
The aim of the mentorship programme is to help international students integrate into the university and society at large, and to support the new students in starting their studies. Mentoring offers a great opportunity for students to build contacts and make friends with people from different countries, learn about other cultures, and broaden their horizons.
A mentor is an advisor who provides newly-enrolled international students with insight into university life, can explain the study process and academic requirements, and offer practical advice on everyday matters. Mentors encourage new students, help them settle into their new home, and overcome any fears or concerns.
To prepare for the mentorship programme, training sessions will be arranged for new mentors on 15 and 30 June. You may choose your preferred date. Training is optional for students with prior mentoring experience.
