The Rimi Riga Marathon took place on 19 May this year. A large number of both students and staff members represented Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in all races – the marathon, half-marathon, and the 5 and 10 km races.

This year, 166 runners from RSU signed up for the marathon and 125 of them took part in the race.

14 participants competed in the full marathon, and Ieva Pūce achieved the best result in the RSU team by placing 120th (4:12'17"). 50 participants took part in the half marathon, and the best performance from our team was by Marina Guldimann from Germany (1:28'23"). Thirty-six participants from RSU competed in the 10 km race, with Sanija Reičela achieving the best results and placing 37th (49'41"). Finally, 25 runners represented RSU in the 5 km race, with Laura Briede finishing in 62nd (24'04").

The RSU Sports Club managed the university’s team’s participation in the race.
