For RSU Employees

In preparation for the upcoming renovations in Blocks D and G of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Main Building at 16 Dzirciema iela, the departments working there are gradually vacating their premises. According to the Department of Infrastructure, the relocation process should be completed by 20 October this year, when most of the building will be closed. Please consult the compiled information on the new addresses of the relocated units.

The aim of the construction work is to create a modern space and environment for RSU staff and students. The scope of work is 2,500 m2; it includes the IT Service Centre on the first floor of Block G and floors 2-5 of Blocks D and G.

Please note that the Library will be operating in multiple locations - it will continue to provide services on the first floor of Block G, where it is currently located, and access will be ensured. However, the second floor will not be open to the public until construction is complete. The lockers and printers on the first-floor lobby of Block G will also be unavailable for the duration of the works. Printers will be relocated to Block C and the IT Service Centre will be located to Block C, Room 1A.

Starting on 24 September, the contractor will gradually start to set up the site boundaries. During this period, there may be some inconvenience related to the preparatory work, both in the building and in the surrounding area. At a later stage, there will also be changes to pedestrian movements on RSU territory, which will be communicated through appropriate signage. There will also be restrictions in the car park at 16 Dzirciema iela, where the number of parking spaces will be significantly reduced from 24 September.

The construction is expected to be completed in December 2025. The RSU officers in charge of organising the construction works are Vita Mitrofanova and Aigars Jankevičs.
