On Friday, 7 June, the Ambassador of Germany to Latvia Christian Heldt will pay a visit to Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).
On Thursday, 30 May, the Ambassador of Finland Anne Saloranta and Consul Laura Immonen will visit the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre.
On Monday, 27 May, the Study Quality Commission of the Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA) decided to accredit the Healthcare study direction at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) for the next six years. It is the most extensive study direction at RSU, which includes 25 study programmes in medicine, pharmacy, public health, rehabilitation, and dentistry. Accreditation provides current and prospective students with the security and stability of having their RSU diploma recognised both nationally and internationally.

The first EIT Health Morning Health Talks of the year took place on 6 June 2024. The event was centred on the theme of Open Innovation Journeys: Collaborative Pathways, Alliances and Networks, getting an insight into open innovation alliances and how these alliances can contribute to the secondary usage of healthcare data: data sharing in open innovation.
The Rimi Riga Marathon took place on 19 May this year. A large number of both students and staff members represented Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in all races – the marathon, half-marathon, and the 5 and 10 km races.

In 2024 the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Academic Ball will take place on Saturday, 7 September, at 19.00 at the Riga Latvian Society House (arrival from 18.00). The RSU Annual Awards will be presented at the ball.
The motto of the academic ball is Ad honorem artes, scientia, veritas (in honour of art, science, truth), so let’s celebrate the success of RSU and the accomplishments of the year in a well-deserved event.

A tribute to honour those student-athletes, sports teams, and coaches at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) who have won the most awards over the past year will take place on 12 June. This tradition started in 2017 and will take place at the end of the current academic year.
