Employees and students of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) are involved in the international I-SHARE (International Sexual Health and Reproductive Health) study on the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on sexual and reproductive health. This study aims to understand the impact that COVID-19 and the restrictions imposed to contain the disease has had on sexual and reproductive health.

Academic staff and researchers from the Faculty of European Studies at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) are taking part in the National Research Program (NRP) project Economic, Political and Legal Framework for Preserving Latvia’s Economic Potential and Promoting Competitiveness after the Pandemic Crisis (reCOVery-LV), which is supported by the Latvian Council of Science. The University of Latvia is the project’s leading partner.

Soviet era medical services

In July 2020, the Institute of the History of Medicine of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) launched a Baltic-German University Liaison Office project in cooperation with Ulm University (Germany), the University of Tartu (Estonia) and Vilnius University (Lithuania). The project, Politicised Medicine, has the aim to host a series of online lectures and discussions about the impact of East European dictatorships have had on medicine in various countries.
