For Students

‘This academic year has started with on-site studies and various events, with a lot of enthusiasm, new ideas and the hope that it will be possible to continue studying on-site throughout the year,’ says Toms Mārtiņš Smilga, Chair of the Board of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP). This autumn, he started his sixth year of studies at the Faculty of Medicine.

The RSU SP’s tasks include various student support activities, which are particularly important in his opinion. Students have returned to on-site classes, however, there are various psychological, financial, and other risks that the RSU SP needs to help to mitigate.
