Minister for Economics Viktors Valainis praises RSU's achievements in education export

On Friday, 10 January, Minister for Economics Viktors Valainis and Deputy State Secretary on Economic Issues Raivis Bremšmits made a visit to the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Educational Technology Centre (METC). The Minister had a meeting with RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons and other representatives of RSU management.

During the meeting, Prof. Pētersons gave a presentation on what the University has achieved in terms of promoting education export, university consolidation, attracting international academic staff, scientific development, as well as other development matters.

The Minister for Economics appreciated what RSU has achieved. Minister Valainis emphasised education export, as developing the diversification of export is a priority for the Ministry.

At the end of the visit, Valainis and Bremšmits made a visit to the RSU METC and acquainted themselves with the capabilities of simulations in the study process, as well as the military medical training base.
