New RSU ISA Board elected for 2024
The elections for the new board of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) took place on 26 – 28 October this year.
Bárbara N. Silva was elected as the President of the RSU ISA in 2024. She was previously the association's Head of Academic Affairs.
'I’m very excited to be working with this team this upcoming year to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students, both socially and academically! My year as Head of Academic Affairs has made me particularly aware of the importance of this responsibility and the significant impact it has on the academic lives of our fellow students. For 2024, I hope our main focus is to keep advocating for students' rights and needs and to build and maintain strong relationships with other student organisations at RSU and the University's administration.'
