For Students

The biggest event of the year for the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) is the WorldWide/InfoFair. The event is a platform to showcase the various national, academic, social and sports groups under ISA. This was association's first event to take place in person after two years of remote studies. It was held on 8 October this year in Inspiration Park and adhered to all COVID-19 regulations in place at the time.

The event is organised like a market, or fair with each society overseeing a stall where they can showcase their group's activities, traditional foods and snacks, posters, games and more. Attendees could walk around and experience diverse cultures and get the opportunity to talk to students from various semesters. In addition, there was a live DJ, a international student from the 8th semester who played music from different countries around the world.

In total, over 25 societies took part in the event and over 100 people attended.

Priyadharshini Ravi, RSU ISA Liaison Officer, describes her person experience from the event: 'I am really grateful to have been the organiser of this event and even more happy that this event was able to take place in person. The fair not only allowed students to learn more about the societies under ISA but also allowed people to meet after such a long time behind screens! The overall vibe of the event was relaxed since people were able to peruse the different stalls at their own pace. In addition, the crisp autumn weather created a cosy feeling to the event.
