RSU Organises Collective Vaccination Against COVID-19
Today, on 7 May, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is organising collective vaccination against COVID-19 for its students and staff. More than 1,000 employees, as well as local and international students, are expected to receive their first vaccine today.
The vaccinations will take place in the RSU canteen, which has been adapted to ensure that people can move in and out safely. 18 professionals from the health centre "Veselības centru apvienība" will be carrying out the vaccinations. RSU staff and students will be receiving the Comirnaty vaccine (which is the new brand name for Pfizer and BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine). RSU will organise a repeat vaccination drive for the necessary second vaccine in three weeks time.
All staff and students have received emails inviting them to sign up and make prior appointments to get the vaccine.
