RSU welcomes new students at matriculation ceremony!

The new academic year at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) started on Monday, 26 August, with a matriculation ceremony for newly admitted local and international first-year students. The first-year students of the RSU Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) also participated in the ceremony for the first time this year.

At the matriculation ceremony, the students were welcomed by RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, as well as the deans and vice-deans of the University's faculties. The students enjoyed performances by the singer Būū, the RSU folk dance ensemble Ačkups, the mixed choir Rīga, as well as a taekwon-do demo by RSU LASE Asst. Prof. Sergejs Saulītis and his students.

After the formal part of the event, students met with faculty representatives and got into the RSU atmosphere to start the new work week.
