On 25 October 2024, Visiting Professor Narūnas Porvaneckas from Vilnius University’s Faculty of Medicine and the Republican Vilnius University Hospital’s Centre of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Lithuania delivered lectures at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on femoral neck fractures, followed by case-based presentations and discussions.

A leading orthopaedic surgeon and faculty member at Vilnius University, Prof. Porvaneckas has extensive experience in complex hip and knee arthroplasty. He has authored numerous scientific articles and is a member of the European Society for Hip Surgery.
The RSU Department of Orthopaedics has a long-standing collaboration with him.
