Government Decides to Affiliate the Latvian Academy of Sport Education to RSU

On Tuesday 13 December, the Latvian Cabinet of Ministers unanimously decided to reorganise the Latvian Academy of Sports Education (LASE), which is subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES), by affiliating it to Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) as of 1 January 2026. LASE will retain its academic and scientific autonomy and will continue to operate as a separate unit of RSU.

As the students are getting ready for the Spring semester to start, we have come closer to the next international students’ Orientation Week organised by our International Department.

During the event the new international students will learn more about the university and the country they have chosen for their studies - study process, healthcare, safety, immigration, student life and organisations. Incoming Erasmus+ students will attend an information session outlining important issues for exchange students. Find the full programme below.
