It is essential that doctors, both those who are still studying, as well as those currently working, regularly participate in simulation-based trainings to improve patient safety. Anyone can benefit from training on the mannequins and technologies to practice helping victirms of accidents, for example.

The Riga Architecture Award 2021 commended Rīga Stradiņš University’s (RSU) project to reconstruct historical stables into the new RSU Anatomy Museum.
The project has received a certificate of recognition from Riga City Architect Gvido Princis for outstanding teamwork in reconstructing the historical stables into a contemporary museum.
This summer, an environmental art object “The Large Vase. 1/4” was placed near the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Main Building. The piece was made as part of the Art in Public Spaces programme implemented by The Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation. On Friday, 3 September, artist Ojārs Pētersons, curator Helēna Demakova and Mareks Indriksons, Member of the Board of the Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation, visited the university to commemorate the event.

As has now become tradition, a team of runners from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) participated in the Rimi Riga Marathon on Sunday, 29 August. 46 out of the 76 runners that signed up for the RSU team finished their race! The participation across age groups was impressive, and the best runners will be awarded by the RSU Sports Club. Each student will receive information about their award via e-mail.
On 25 August 2021, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Museum of Anatomy hosted Anatomy & Beyond, a symposium on the interaction between medicine and art. At the symposium, artists, scientists and medical professionals discussed how art and anatomy intersect, and what each of these fields imagines the future of humanity on earth and beyond to be like.
The new academic year at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has begun and 2,644 freshmen have been welcomed to the university's various study programmes. This includes 417 international students, most of whom are from Sweden and Germany. The number of newly admitted students in both undergraduate, master's and doctoral study programmes has increased compared to last year’s 2,548 students.
