Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is an institution that trains prospective medical and healthcare professionals. Practical training at "patients' bedside" is considered an essential part of medical studies. To this end, it is crucial to protect the patients that medical students come into contact with from COVID-19. Ombudsman Juris Jansons has assessed the decree released by the RSU Rector and comes out in favour of it.

From 29 June to 2 July, the summer graduation ceremonies of Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) will be held in the university's courtyard next to Inspiration Park. Graduates from both bachelor's and master's study programmes from nine faculties and the RSU Liepāja branch will be receiving their diplomas. About one in seven of this summer's 1,142 graduates is an international student.

From 29 June to 2 July, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) summer graduations will take place in the courtyard of the main building and in Inspiration Park. At these ceremonies, graduates of the bachelor's and master's study programmes from nine faculties and the RSU Liepāja branch will receive their diplomas. This year, almost every seventh student out of all 1,142 graduates is an international student. For health and safety reasons, graduates have to provide an interoperable COVID-19 vaccination, test and recovery certificate (EU Digital COVID Certificate).

Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) will hold its summer graduations from 29 June to 2 July. Students who have an interoperable COVID-19 vaccination, test and recovery certificate (EU Digital COVID Certificate) will be able to attend the graduations in person, in compliance with the national epidemiological safety conditions; the rest, including family and friends, will be able to watch the graduation ceremonies live online.

The European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS) is taking applications for a 5-day online course in November 2021 - "Translational Medicine Explained (TMex)".

The course is intended for PhD students, early postdoc students, medical students and other young scientists who are involved in biomedical research and want to learn more about Translational Medicine. 

The 5-day ADVANCE Workshop on ATMPs Development 2022 will take place face-to-face on 20–24 June in Rome, Italy.

ADVANCE is a 30-month EU training project, coordinated by EATRIS and supported by Erasmus Plus with the objective to develop a 3-stage blended learning programme to support early-career biomedical scientists in developing currently missing scientific knowledge, transversal skills and competences to meet the key challenge areas existing in the ATMP development cycle.
