The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Law is organising the first conference dedicated to national and international topical issues in the field of medical law. It is planned that this conference will be held annually.
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Law is organising a conference on medical law on 18 June. It will be a highly interdisciplinary scientific-practical event for law and medicine professionals. Globally, medical law is a relatively new, but rapidly evolving branch of law. It covers norms and elements of civil law, criminal law, international law and sub-disciplines of other legal sciences. RSU is taking advantage of its strengths in its medical and legal study directions to develop this promising field.
As the 70th anniversary year of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) draws to a close, the International Student Department is starting to celebrate its 30th year.

On Tuesday, 1 June, Professor Aigars Pētersons, the Rector of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), welcomed Jānis Grasis as the newly elected Dean of the Faculty of Law. He also expressed his thanks and gratitude to Prof. Andrejs Vilks who lead the Faculty of Law for many years.
