Diabetes Days: Check Your Health with RSU Medical Students on 2 and 9 April

In order to draw public attention to diabetes, one of the most common non-communicable diseases and one of the most frequent causes of death in Latvia and worldwide, students of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) are launching a new initiative by organising Diabetes Days in cooperation with Rīga Plaza shopping mall. The event is organised by the RSU Students’ Scientific Groups in Ophthalmology, Therapy and Cardiology.

All visitors to the mall will have the opportunity to receive a free health consultation to find out their blood pressure, glucose or blood sugar levels, as well as information on the different types of diabetes, the first signs of the disease, possible changes in the eyes, kidneys, other organs and organ systems.

The stand organised by RSU students will be open to visitors of Rīga Plaza for two Saturdays, 2nd and 9th April from 10:00 to 16:00.
