Summer solstice celebrations at RSU

Like every year around the summer solstice, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted a Midsummer celebration under the oak tree in Inspiration Park on 20 June. RSU employees enjoyed the sunny weather, sang Midsummer songs, participated in a masterclass on weaving flower crowns led by Ineta Vēvere and played traditional Midsummer games.

Following tradition, all RSU employees named Līga and Jānis were celebrated at the event. The number of staff members named Jānis and Līga has increased in recent years: there are currently 48 employees named Jānis and 39 employees named Līga.

Colleagues from the Latvian Academy of Sport Education visited RSU and joined the celebration.
