For the third year in a row, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Medicine congratulated its most outstanding students who have proved themselves with excellent achievements in the academic year 2023/2024 in the Great Hall 0n 6 November.

The elections for the Council of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) were held between 21 October and 1 November. All RSU students had the opportunity to stand for election to become a member of the Council as well as to vote for candidates from their faculty.
The EUI Widening Europe Programme, in collaboration with the RSU Social Sciences Research Centre, warmly invites master’s students and early PhD researchers at Rīga Stradiņš University to join a workshop on Introduction to case studies on 5 & 6 December from 16:00 to 19:00.

On 11 November, the Ministry of Health and the Cabinet of Ministers presented Letters of Commendation and Gratitude to health care professionals at an awards ceremony in the Great Hall of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). The awards were presented by the Minister of Health Hosams Abu Meri.
On 3 December, at 15.00, the guest lecture "Mentoring programs for young people with intellectual disability" by Prof. Nathan Wilson (Australia) will take place at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre (METC), 26a Anniņmuižas bulvāris.
Attend the information session held by the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Information Centre at RSU on 14 November at 15.00 to learn about DAAD scholarships available to students and researchers. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Everyone interested is welcome, however DAAD scholarships in Latvia are not available to students from Germany.

On Wednesday, 6 November, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre (METC) hosted the Ambassador of Sweden Karin Höglund and the First Secretary of the Embassy Ylva Hammarsten. During the meeting, the Ambassador was introduced to simulation-based medical education, which ensures a safe, modern and efficient learning process. Cooperation opportunities with clinical medicine centres in Sweden were also discussed.
